If you don’t have a bargained benefit through a former employer, beginning August 15 you can enroll in an Aetna® Medicare Advantage PPO plan with prescription drug coverage.
The International Association of Fire Fighters Financial Corporation (IAFF-FC) has partnered with Aetna to design four Medicare Advantage plans that fit any budget, with lower premiums and deductibles than you may pay now.
These plans are for Medicare-eligible retired IAFF fire fighters, their spouses and surviving widows/widowers.
As an added bonus, an Aetna Medicare Advantage plan offers hearing and vision benefits, the SilverSneakers® fitness benefit, and health and wellness programs, all at no extra cost. In addition, Aetna provides nurses you can talk to 24/7, care advocates who can help you manage complex conditions, and the AbleTo behavioral health team who can help coach you through a mental health or stress-related condition.
All four Aetna Medicare Advantage plans have an Extended Service Area (ESA). This means you can see any licensed provider who is eligible to receive Medicare payment and who is willing to accept the Aetna Medicare Advantage plan. Aetna has a large, nationwide network of providers, but you’ll pay the same cost whether your doctor is in or out of network.
